📘 International Passport
Validity: 🎉 forever
A passport is issued at a state veterinary clinic and remains with the pet for life. Like a microchip, it's a one-time, permanent device. It doesn't need to be replaced; just keep up-to-date on vaccination stickers.
💉 Titers (rabies antibody test)
Validity: 🔄 Lifetime, but with a twist
The titers themselves are given once in a lifetime. But there's a catch: they only remain valid if you regularly revaccinate your pet against rabies every year.
Missed a date? That's it, the credits "burn out" and you need to retake the test.😢
📌 Important: After the blood draw, a 90-day quarantine is required. Only then can you leave.
📄 Form F1 (veterinary certificate)
Valid for: ⏰ only 3 days
The F1 certificate is issued at a state veterinary clinic and is only needed for one purpose: to exchange it for an international certificate.
Three days later, the certificate becomes invalid. So don't delay!
🌍 International Veterinary Certificate
Validity: 🏃 10 days
This is your main travel document. Once you receive it, you need to leave Ukraine within the next 10 days. Didn't make it? It all starts again: new F1, new certificate, new stress 😅
🐶 Rabies vaccination
Validity: 📆 exactly 1 year
Mandatory annual booster vaccinations. Without it:
❌ titers are invalid;
❌ passport is invalid;
❌ travel is not possible.
Set a reminder on your phone!
✨ Other vaccinations (against anything)
Validity period: 📅 from 6 months to 1 year
Depends on the vaccine and disease. Your veterinarian will usually advise you when to return for your next booster. It's important that all vaccinations are current upon departure.
🐛 Treatment for worms and ticks
Validity: ⏱ 48–72 hours before Form F1
This is very strict: processing is carried out 2–3 days before Form F1 is received. No sooner, no later. Otherwise, your documents may not be accepted.
